Back bending can be challenging both physically and mentally, however one of the most therapeutic parts of a yoga practice when practiced with patience and equanimity. Backbends energize, refresh and invigorate the body: relieving back pain, helping digestive system function, relieving stress, and building confidence and self esteem.
In this Workshop we will take the time to create space in the hips, shoulders and front body while strengthening the back body to allow the spine to move in a supported and safe way. This workshop is open to students of all levels.
Learning how to blend healthy back bends into your yoga is a practice of opening your heart that will encourage you to move with ease and grace and to have a passion for life and love.
With over 16 experience, Keisha Wixom is best known and appreciated for her dedication to teaching proper alignment and purpose of yoga postures. With an eye for detail and a keen kinesthetic awareness, Keisha provides beginners with a strong foundation and is able to fine-tune advanced student’s practices.
Her friendly and practical approach to teaching, promises hands-on adjustments and assistance in the postures, pose demonstrations, and specialized attention is to your specific conditions, physical limitations, or personal goals.
